NCT ID NCT06858306

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study is testing a new catheter system (Sphere-9 and Affera) to treat people with persistent atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat. About 200 participants will receive the procedure and be followed for 3 years to see if it safely prevents the heart rhythm problem from coming back. The goal is to control the condition, not cure it, since ongoing monitoring and possible medication may still be needed.
