Water-Jet knife speeds up stomach cancer surgery

Summary
This study tested a new way to remove early-stage stomach cancer using a special knife that sprays water to help cut and seal tissue at the same time. The goal was to see if this method (called SPEED) is faster and safer than the usual procedure. The study involved 548 adults with early gastric cancer and compared surgery times and complication rates.
