First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a speech-based AI tool (AcceXible) to see if it can accurately detect mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in 114 Colombian adults aged 55 and older. Participants used a mobile device to record speech, and the tool's results were compared to a standard pencil-and-paper memory test. The goal is to make early detection of memory problems easier and more accessible.
