First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a new way of setting hearing aids, called speech-based audiometry, can help veterans who were exposed to blasts but have normal hearing tests. These veterans often struggle to hear in noisy places. The study will compare standard and speech-based hearing aid settings in 80 veterans to see which works better for everyday listening.
