Pointing to talk: new study tests simple tool to help kids with CP be understood

NCT ID NCT07173049

Summary

This study is testing if a simple communication strategy can help children with cerebral palsy speak more clearly. Kids ages 7-17 will learn to point to letters or pictures on a board while they talk, which may give listeners helpful clues. Researchers will measure if this one-time training makes their speech easier for others to understand and determine how much improvement is meaningful.
