First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a treatment for men whose prostate cancer has come back after radiation. It uses a special drug (verteporfin) that is activated by lasers placed directly into the tumor. The goal is to safely destroy the cancer while avoiding major side effects. About 66 men will take part to see if the approach works and how well it is tolerated.
