High-Tech gloves aim to soothe arthritic hands without pills

NCT ID NCT06744855

Summary

This study is testing whether special gloves can help reduce pain and improve hand function for people with hand osteoarthritis. The gloves are embedded with a material that emits gentle energy and negative ions, which researchers believe may increase blood flow and reduce inflammation in the hand joints. About 140 participants will wear either the active gloves or look-alike placebo gloves to see if they report less pain and can use their hands better.
