Could a simple diet change help manage diabetes in nursing homes?
NCT ID NCT07504380
Summary
This study tested whether a special liquid diet, high in fiber and low in salt, could help manage diabetes in nursing home residents who are fed through a tube. For three months, 32 participants received this formula as their only source of nutrition. Researchers then checked if it improved their blood sugar, blood pressure, and overall nutritional health.
