First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether listening to spatial audio (a 3D sound experience) can help people tolerate heat pain better. One hundred healthy adults will have heat applied to their skin, once with the audio device and once without, to see if the sound changes their pain threshold. The goal is to learn if non-visual immersive technology can ease pain without medication.
