Puzzle power: study tests if spatial skills can be boosted in down syndrome
NCT ID NCT05332912
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with Down syndrome can improve their spatial abilities—like mentally rotating objects or seeing another person's point of view—through hands-on activities such as puzzles, block building, and computer games. 84 participants (adolescents and young adults with Down syndrome, plus typically developing children) took part in up to eight training sessions. The goal was to see if these skills can be strengthened and if that could help with everyday tasks like navigating or using tools.
