NCT ID NCT07160426

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

Sepsis damages the protective lining of blood vessels, leading to organ failure and death. This study tests if giving fresh frozen plasma—either as a steady drip or in doses—can repair that damage better than a placebo. About 45 adults with sepsis in the ICU will take part, and researchers will track blood markers, organ support needs, and survival for up to 90 days.
