Gel shield tested to protect men during prostate cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT05407714

Summary

This study looked at the safety and performance of the SpaceOAR System, a gel injected to create space between the prostate and rectum. It involved 15 men in China with early-stage prostate cancer who were undergoing radiation therapy. The goal was to see if creating this space helps protect the rectum from radiation side effects and to collect real-world safety data.
