Space stress test: 27 hours awake and a drink to mimic astronaut risks

Summary
This study looks at how lack of sleep and alcohol affect thinking and movement, similar to what astronauts might face in space. Fifty-six healthy adults aged 25-60 will stay in a lab for about 110 hours, go without sleep for 27 hours, and drink alcohol to a set level on another day. They will do thinking and movement tasks, plus MRI scans and blood tests, to help predict and reduce risks during spaceflight.
