NASA probes astronaut brain changes on Year-Long space missions
NCT ID NCT04856410
Summary
This research aims to understand how spending 12 months in space affects astronauts' brains and cognitive abilities. Scientists will compare brain scans and thinking tests from astronauts on year-long missions to those on shorter 2-month and 6-month missions. The study focuses on spatial thinking, memory, and brain structure changes to prepare for future missions to Mars.
