Scientists take a closer look at Astronauts' blood flow in Zero-G
NCT ID NCT03561545
Summary
This study aimed to understand how weightlessness during spaceflight affects the body's smallest blood vessels (microcirculation). Researchers tested a non-invasive imaging technique on 16 healthy volunteers during short periods of weightlessness created by parabolic airplane flights. The goal was to gather basic knowledge to help monitor astronaut heart health and develop better preparation strategies for space missions.
