Tofu vs. supplements: the great soy cholesterol review

NCT ID NCT04861545

Summary

This project is a detailed review of existing research studies to see if eating whole soy foods like tofu, tempeh, and edamame lowers 'bad' cholesterol as well as foods with processed soy protein powder. The goal is to gather stronger evidence for dietary guidelines and health claims about soy and heart health. It analyzes data from past clinical trials, not from new patient treatments.
