First seen May 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether offering soy milk alongside dairy milk in New York City public schools will get students to drink it and cut down on wasted milk. About 2,500 students will take part, and researchers will track how much of each milk is consumed and thrown away. The goal is to understand the environmental, nutritional, and cost impacts of adding soy milk as a choice.
