Could a new sound therapy quiet the ringing in your ears?

NCT ID NCT07302373

Summary

This study aimed to test a new, non-invasive sound therapy for people with chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and hyperacusis (sensitivity to sound). The therapy was designed to use special sounds to help retrain the brain's hearing system. The goal was to reduce the distress from phantom sounds and improve tolerance to everyday noises.
