New combo therapy aims to control rare blood cancer long-term
NCT ID NCT07029737
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests a drug called acalabrutinib combined with standard chemotherapy (R-CHOP) in people with untreated mantle cell lymphoma, a rare blood cancer. About 55 adults in Spain who cannot have a stem cell transplant will receive the combination for 6 cycles, then continue acalabrutinib alone plus maintenance rituximab. Treatment continues as long as it works and side effects are manageable, meaning this is a disease control approach, not a cure.
