NCT ID NCT07162506

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looks at two treatment options for people with a type of esophageal cancer that has shrunk after initial chemo-immunotherapy. Half will get standard surgery to remove the tumor, and the other half will get a combination of radiation and chemotherapy instead. The goal is to see if the non-surgical approach can control the cancer just as well while possibly avoiding the need for surgery. All participants will also receive maintenance immunotherapy for up to a year.
