New filter aims to cleanse inflammatory toxins from dialysis blood
NCT ID NCT07123909
Summary
This study is testing a special blood filter, used during regular dialysis, to see if it can reduce harmful inflammation in patients with kidney failure. It will involve 60 people on dialysis who have high levels of inflammation markers in their blood. Researchers will measure changes in these markers, as well as symptoms like itching and mood, over three months to see if the filter helps.
