Breathing treatment aims to soothe surgery sore throats

NCT ID NCT07491991

Summary

This study tested whether a gentle breathing treatment (nebulizer) given at the throat could reduce sore throat pain after thyroid surgery. Researchers compared a mix of two common drugs (budesonide and lidocaine) against a simple saltwater spray in 96 patients. The goal was to find a better way to manage this common discomfort and help patients recover more comfortably after their operation.
