Could a simple soaked gauze ease Post-Surgery throat pain?

NCT ID NCT07486544

Summary

This study is testing if soaking a throat pack in a steroid medicine before nose surgery can reduce the common and uncomfortable sore throat patients often feel after waking up. It will compare the steroid-soaked pack to a standard saline-soaked one in 90 adults having elective septoplasty. The main goal is to see if this simple change leads to less pain and discomfort in the first 24 hours after surgery.
