New pill aims to shrink swollen organs in rare immune disease

Summary
This study is testing an experimental pill called soquelitinib for people with ALPS-FAS, a rare genetic disorder where the immune system stores too many white blood cells, causing enlarged organs and low blood counts. Researchers want to see if taking this pill twice daily for about a year can safely reduce the size of swollen lymph nodes and the spleen. The study will enroll about 15 participants aged 16 and older to monitor their response and check for side effects.
