First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 42 adults with infected single-rooted teeth to see if using sonic or ultrasonic irrigation during root canal treatment helps healing better than standard needle irrigation. Participants had scans before and 6 months after treatment to measure changes in infection size. The goal was to find out if these advanced cleaning methods lead to faster or more complete healing.
