New training approach aims to restore arm function in chronic stroke patients

NCT ID NCT06057584

First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether a training program that combines sensory (touch) and motor (movement) exercises can improve arm and hand function in people who have had a stroke at least six months ago. Researchers will compare this combined training to either sensory training alone or motor training alone. The goal is to see which approach works best and how the brain changes during recovery.
