Fat vs fibrin: which boosts dental implant success?
NCT ID NCT07562334
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether using a small piece of fat from the cheek (buccal pad of fat) works as well as a blood-derived gel (platelet-rich fibrin) to cover special dental implants in the upper jaw. About 24 adults with severe bone loss in the upper back jaw will receive one of the two treatments. The goal is to see which method leads to thicker gum tissue and fewer complications like fractures or infections.
