New combo attack on rare cancers: can immunotherapy boost radiation?
NCT ID NCT03474094
Summary
This study is testing if adding a drug called atezolizumab (an immunotherapy) to the standard treatment of radiotherapy and surgery works better for soft tissue sarcoma. It will involve 62 adults with a type of sarcoma that can be removed by surgery. The main goal is to see if the drug helps kill more of the tumor before it is surgically removed.
