New drug combo tested for Tough-to-Treat sarcoma

NCT ID NCT02805725

Summary

This study tested whether combining two existing cancer drugs (trabectedin and cyclophosphamide) could help control advanced soft-tissue sarcoma in patients whose previous treatments had stopped working. The first phase determined the safest dose, and the second phase checked if the combination could stop cancer growth for at least six months. Fifty patients with advanced, previously treated sarcoma participated in this French-led trial.
