First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether a spray containing superoxide dismutase (SOD) can prevent severe skin burns (radiation dermatitis) in people receiving radiation for head and neck cancer. About 140 participants will use the spray during their radiation treatment. The goal is to see if it reduces the number of patients who develop painful, peeling skin that can delay cancer therapy.
