Social workers in fracture clinics: a new way to heal?

NCT ID NCT06973655

First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at whether having a social worker in the fracture clinic can help people who had surgery for a broken bone. Many patients face mental health, money, or housing problems during recovery. The trial will include 2,000 adults and compare those who get social worker support to those who get usual care. The goal is to see if this support reduces emergency room visits and improves overall well-being.
