Can friendship and counseling help men stick with HIV treatment?
NCT ID NCT05123274
Summary
This study is testing whether a group counseling program helps HIV-positive men who have sex with men in St. Petersburg, Russia, stay engaged with their medical care. 100 men who are not currently seeing a doctor regularly will be randomly assigned to receive either standard counseling or an enhanced program focused on building social support networks. Researchers will check if the group program leads to more doctor visits, better medication adherence, and improved well-being over 12 months.
