Story time at the dentist: simple tool eases fear for autistic kids
NCT ID NCT07166978
Summary
This study is testing whether a special type of story can make dental visits easier for young autistic children. Researchers are using illustrated 'social stories' that explain what happens at the dentist step-by-step to help kids know what to expect. The trial will see if children who learn with these stories are less anxious, more cooperative, and can complete their checkups faster compared to children who don't use the stories.
