First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a program that uses social connections and remote coaching can help seniors in independent-living communities become more physically active. Eight residents took part in a 6-week program led by an occupational therapist over Zoom. The study aimed to see if involving respected community members as advisors would encourage more participation. Results will help design larger future studies.
