New tracking method could help soccer coaches train players more safely

NCT ID NCT07451041

Summary

This study compared two different ways to measure how hard young soccer players work during training and games. Researchers tracked 27 male players under age 23 for a full season using GPS devices to see if measuring movements based on each player's personal maximum effort gives better information than using the same fixed numbers for everyone. The goal is to help coaches design training that better matches game demands while reducing injury risk.
