Can sensory rooms and memory sharing ease anxiety in the elderly?
NCT ID NCT07374887
Summary
This study tested whether two non-drug therapies could help improve mood and reduce anxiety in older adults living in care facilities. Researchers compared a sensory-based therapy (Snoezelen) and a memory-sharing therapy (Reminiscence) against a group receiving no special activities. They measured participants' emotional states and anxiety levels before, during, and after the therapy sessions to see if there were lasting benefits.
