Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a combination of injectable naltrexone and oral bupropion is safe and feasible for helping people with schizophrenia who smoke cigarettes. Only 2 participants enrolled before the study was terminated. The goal was to see if the treatment could reduce smoking urges and cigarettes per day without worsening schizophrenia symptoms.
