First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether an electronic visit (e-visit) can help adults aged 40 and older in rural areas quit smoking and screen for COPD. About 144 participants will be randomly assigned to receive the e-visit or not. The e-visit asks about smoking history, preferences for quit-smoking medications, and COPD symptoms, and may lead to a prescription. The study lasts 24 weeks and involves questionnaires and breath samples.
