Can banning smoking at home help smokers quit for good?
NCT ID NCT04547686
Summary
This study tested whether helping smokers create smoke-free rules for their homes and cars could help them quit smoking. Researchers worked with 918 low-income patients from Georgia health centers, providing some participants with mailings and coaching calls about establishing smoking bans. The goal was to see if this approach, combined with standard quitting resources, led to more people successfully quitting compared to those who only received basic information.
