First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a surgery called transverse tibial transport, where a small piece of shin bone is moved to improve blood flow and help heal diabetic foot ulcers. The goal is to see if this procedure, added to standard wound care, can close chronic wounds and save limbs in 100 adults who have not responded to other treatments. Participants will be followed for 18 weeks to check wound healing and safety.
