NCT ID NCT07379671

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at how small bumps called mamelons on the edges of front teeth affect how attractive a smile looks. Researchers showed 135 people (dentists, specialists, and non-dentists) digitally altered photos of smiles with different mamelon sizes and shades. Participants rated the smiles on a scale from 0 to 100. The goal was to understand what makes a smile appear more or less attractive.
