Can your smartwatch really track your oxygen? new study tests accuracy

NCT ID NCT05789563

Summary

This study tested how accurately three different smartwatches measure blood oxygen levels compared to a standard medical device. Eighteen healthy volunteers wore the watches while their oxygen levels were gradually lowered in a controlled setting. The goal was to see if consumer smartwatches could be reliable for spotting potential health problems where oxygen drops over time.
