Summary
This study aims to see if the heart medication verapamil works better than metoprolol to control heart rate in people with a type of irregular heartbeat called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AFib). It will involve 436 adults with symptomatic AFib. Some participants will also use a smartwatch to help guide their medication dosing, with the goal of reducing hospital visits, procedures, and improving quality of life.
