Smartwatches could spot CIDP Flare-Ups before symptoms appear

NCT ID NCT07273903

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a smartwatch can help monitor disease activity in people with CIDP, a rare nerve disorder causing weakness and numbness. About 35 adults who use at-home immunoglobulin injections will wear a smartwatch for 12 months to track steps, activity, and sleep. Researchers will compare this data with standard clinical tests to see if wearables can detect small changes and possibly predict worsening before symptoms occur.
