Smartwatches could spot nerve disease worsening before symptoms appear
NCT ID NCT07273903
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a smartwatch can help track how well treatment is working for people with CIDP, a rare nerve disease that causes weakness and numbness. About 35 adults who use daily immunoglobulin shots at home will wear a smartwatch for 12 months. Researchers will compare watch data (like steps and activity) with standard clinic tests to see if wearables can catch small changes and even predict flare-ups early.
