Could a phone game help you remember your blood pressure meds?
NCT ID NCT04114669
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone-based lottery incentive could help people with high blood pressure take their medication more consistently. Researchers enrolled 401 adults who were already prescribed blood pressure medication but were having trouble taking it regularly. For six months, participants in the program could win small prizes for taking their pills, with the goal of seeing if this approach improved medication adherence and lowered blood pressure.
