Your phone could soon listen for a silent heart killer
NCT ID NCT07284550
Summary
This study is testing whether a regular smartphone can be used to screen for a serious heart valve condition called aortic stenosis. Researchers will record heart sounds and chest vibrations from 500 people using phone microphones and sensors, then compare the results to standard heart scans. The goal is to create a simple, accessible tool for early detection, which could help people get life-saving treatment sooner.
