Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people experience an increase in dark or suicidal thoughts when starting or switching antidepressant medication. Researchers had 38 adults with major depression use a smartphone app to track their mood, thoughts, and other symptoms daily for one month. The goal was to gather real-time data to learn how to better monitor and support patients during this critical treatment phase.
