Phone camera app aims to catch deadly childhood eye cancer early

NCT ID NCT04344652

Summary

This study aimed to test a smartphone app designed to help detect an early sign of childhood eye cancer called retinoblastoma. The app would check for a white glow in a child's pupil, which can be a warning sign. The goal was to see if the app could reliably spot this sign in children from birth to age 10, potentially leading to earlier diagnosis.
