Your phone could be your diet coach: app sends help when You're about to slip
NCT ID NCT04784585
Summary
This study is testing a smartphone app designed to help people stay on track with their diet during a weight loss program. The app checks in with users several times a day and uses a smart algorithm to predict when someone might be about to eat off-plan. When a risk is detected, the app randomly sends one of several types of supportive messages or skills training to try to prevent the slip-up. Researchers are comparing which types of messages work best to help people maintain their healthy eating goals.
